On May 24, a few singers from Mason performed at the French restaurant, La Cote d’Or, in Arlington County. It was the charter night dinner for the Falls Church Lions Club.

Cicada Mania

(May 27, 2004)
Lasso staff members share their cicada experiences.  The cicadas have taken over the metropolitan area in the past two weeks, causing some to shriek in delight, and others to shriek in terror.  The cicadas, emerging every 17 years to mate, are expected to stay with us for another two weeks.

I left for France on the afternoon of Saturday, the 27th of March. The flight was a typical international flight in that it was very long and rather boring, and, it being over the course of an afternoon, Eastern time, I didn’t sleep a wink and was therefore terribly jet-lagged by the time we got to Paris, as day was breaking on the 28th.

Clearly the majority of people attending the dances want rhythmically, bass charged music, and most importantly the "new" stuff. As the seniors planned for the Red Carpet Homecoming Dance last Saturday, Lasso Online set out to find what kinds of music made people want to dance. 

International Club to Screen
‘Rabbit-Proof Fence’ Tonight

The International Club will be hosting a field trip to attend a screening of the "Rabbit Proof Fence" tonight at the Reston Town Center from 6 to 10:15. Transportation will be provided. The screening, sponsored by Amnesty International, will be followed by a question and answer session with the director, Phillip Noyce.
