I remember when my Dad took me to "Make a Record" (78
              rpm)
              A guy had recording
              equipment in his house
I sang a popular song & repeated it
              Que
              Sera Sera - Que
              Sera Sera (again)
Then I sang a hymn (like a good Catholic School girl) Twice
              Daily Daily Sing to Mary

The History of Jeanne & the Mozart Concerto #20 in D Minor
March 1982 - Jeanne won the Senior Division
of the Columbus Symphony's Concerto Competition
She was not "age eligilbe" but allowed to compete since she won
the Junior Division at age 7
Her prize included a performance with the Symphony
            AMSA
                  Concerto Competition - June 26-27, 1982 - The Background
                  I did not expect 12
year old Jeanne to win anything in the "Pre College" Division
AMSA was an "International Piano Competition" drawing students
from all over the country and the world.
The plan was to play in the prelimaries and drive home to Columbus.
Joe, Karen & Bobby were at a swim meet in Athens
Our old 1970 Falcon died on the highway. So we had no car, no
                hotel room and
    no "formal
    attire" as required

A ""good samaritan" heard our story at the auto repair shop
    & drove
    us
    to
    Sears
    (closed
    for
    inventory)
I banged on the door, explained the situation & someone let us in so we could

buy
    a
    dress
She drove us to the music hall for the rehearsal with the orchestra. Jeanne
got dressed in the ladies room
We got a hotel room. Joe, Karen & Bobby arrived after the Sunday
              session of the swim meet.
We attended the Concert at the Music Hall Sunday evening looking
              like poor, disheveled folks BUT
Jeanne had "formal attire" - actually a simple long dress - only
a child's size 12 fit her petite frame.

37 Years later in her "Return to the Stage" Jeanne entered the
              "Piano Texas" Competition and
won the opportunity to play the Mozart Concert again. Her performance
              is included below
