Halloween at George Mason

Falls isn't just about Halloween, though. Lasso Online has compiled a brief list of some fun autumn activities that you can enjoy throughout the season.

We may be in high school now, but that doesn't mean that we don't love Halloween! Lasso Online asked various Masonites about their plans for the spookiest night of the year. Here are a few of their responses.

Junior Soorya Namboodiri is dressing up as a fairy and will go trick-or-treating with her friend Peter Davis. She likes the tradition of Halloween because “it’s a nice way to be part of the community,” and of course for the candy, especially Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

Addison Blakemore’s mom will not let him trick-or-treat anymore, but if he could Addison, a senior, would dress up as George Bush because, “I like superheroes,” he tells Lasso. His favorite candy is Milkyway.

Matt Dorr, also a senior, is trick-or-treating this year as Johnny Appleseed. His favorite candies are Starbursts. Senior Matt Carl is sad that this will be his first year that he won't trick-or-treat because unfortunately, he has too much homework to do.
Sophomore Ana Petillo is going to a costume party for Halloween this year. She is not sure what she will dress up as but her favorite candy is Swedish Fish. Junior Jake Shapiro will be dressing up as a zombie and participating in the Zombie Walk in Washington D.C. Why does he still participate in Halloween? “Why not!” he responds.
Senior Maria Venets says she will be dressing up as a devil and going trick-or-treating with friend Emily Sabbatini. Maria does not worry that she is too old to trick-or-treat because now she can just collect more candy by driving from one neighborhood to another.

Allegedly, senior Will Stewart will be going to commune with evil spirits on the bike path and then sending them out to attack innocent babes as they wander about unawares in search of candy.

*Actually, he's really going to a Pasta Party at MEH Middle School with the rest of the Mason XC Team, who are getting ready for Regionals on November 1st
