News updated 10/28/04	Bull Run District Finals Cheerleaders Fail to Move On, But Win Fans and Followers    While this stunt was performed to perfection, the Mason cheerleaders met with some spills in their competition in the Bull Run District competition at Strasburg Tuesday night. Manassas Park won the competition and Mason’s hearty cheerleaders did not qualify for regional competition. Strasburg came in second and Rappahannock third. In spite of not qualifying to move on in competition, the cheerleaders, according to a report filed by Lasso Online reporter Nora Hemphill, "Were overjoyed by the support extended to them by friends and family. Dozens of people braved the traffic and drove 75 miles to Strasburg. The Mustang fans packed the bleachers to cheer on the cheerleaders."
