Girls Tennis

by Camille Christophel (March 8, 2004)

"I am very excited about this team, most are new players, and we get a lot of opportunity to improve. The players who return are good" said head coach Chris Madison about his girls’varsity tennis team.

Thirteen girls made the team, led by Junior Meredith Crosby "She was # 4 last year, and it is a new pressure for her. Many girls from last year’s team graduated, and our former #1 seed Alex La Coste moved to Florida."

"Our goals are to continue to go to district championship, we already won 4 regional, and we planed on going to state" said Madison.

With their first game on March 16th, against the Stone Bridge HS Bulldogs at home, the girls are practicing 1 hour and a half daily after school.

The team is made of seniors Rwaida Alshagra, Andrea Arias, Camille Christophel, Whitney Lemke and Andrea Spakouskas, juniors Meredith Crosby and Andrea Miranda,
sophomores Maura Ehmer, Eleanor Kang and Simona Mohoney and freshmen Anna Duning, Alina Kaye, Louise Robertson,
