Grand Cayman before going to Cozumel We did not leave the ship because we have been to Grand Cayman several times before |

Cozumel
is an island off the coast of Mexico During previous visits we took the ferry to the mainland for excursions |

This
time we stayed on the island |

It was a long walk along the pier
|

From
the shops we were told that it was just 5 minutes to the town
of San Miguel We started to walk along the seashore and saw the excursion submarine "Atlantis" |

In the distance we saw the lighthouse
and ferry terminal |

We soon discovered that San Miguel was 5 MILES
from our ship
The 5 MINUTES we were told back in port meant by TAXI Our first stop was a local bar which boasted "The Best Mojitos in the Town" |

town was ready for Christmas |

Originally
we were to dock here in San Miguel, but we were displaced by
the new NCL ship, the Beyond |

We
took a taxi for the 5 mile return trip to our ship |
