The sophomore band Basmati performed at the State Theater Thursday afternoon and raised over $700 for the Falls Church Emergency Winter Shelter. Later that same night a live auction was preceded by the showing of a video created by Benson Ting that described the shelter and highlighted the senior class shelter project. The auction, emceed by assistant principal Tim Guy, took in $30,000 for the shelter.
