Unsung Hero
Sullivan Keeps the Messages Coming
(February 5, 2007)
Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail will keep her from her appointed rounds. Junior Susanna Sullivan, better known as one of George Mason’s all-time premier cross country and long distance runners, is also the person who ensures that the marquee sign on Route 7 in front of school carries the key messages that announce upcoming events or provide inspirational thoughts. No matter what the weather conditions, Susanna quietly goes about her unrecognized duties to maintain good communication between our school and the world at large.  Principal Bob Snee said, “Susanna is a very kind soul who is always willing and happy to post school events regardless of the weather. She has even been known to change the sign on weekends and on her other days off.” For these reasons, Susanna has earned Lasso Online’s first “Unsung Hero” recognition. We encourage our readers to nominate other students who work quietly and without recognition on behalf of George Mason. (Photo by Jeremiah Upton)
