Faculty Runners Battle Wind
In Frederick Marathon

displaying their medals from the Frederick, MD, marathon are,
left to right, teachers Renata Carvalho, Alissa Mears, Karin
Tooze, Jennifer Jayson, and Holly Herrington. Carvalho and Herrington
ran the full (26.2 miles) marathon, while the other three teachers,
along with Melissa Raeder, not pictured, completed the race as
a relay team. Carvalho
described the strong winds they encountered as “a forceful enemy.” |
