May We Help You?

(April 17, 2007)

Students have noticed that the weird cinder block planter, a fixture in the main lobby since Mason’s inception, has been torn down and an irregular shaped carpeted area has replaced it. Lately, maintenance workers have been installing electrical outlets and dropping communications lines for what, Lasso Online has learned, will become a welcome desk to be staffed by parent volunteers. As Seve Padilla, facilities use coordinator for the high school, Mason is so large that when newcomers arrive, it can be a daunting place if you don’t know precisely where you are supposed to go. He also pointed out any presence in the hallways, especially at the main entrance, can only help with security. The welcome desk should be up and running—and welcoming-in the near future.
