Teachers on the Run Continue Progress

“Teachers on the Run,” a
group of runners, some with years of experience and some brand
new to racing, pose prior to the Shamrock Festival in Virginia Beach last Sunday. The group was organized and
trained by veteran runner and Spanish teacher Ms. Renata Carvalho
who ran the full 26.2 mile marathon. The above runners successfully
completed the half-marathon of 13.1 miles. These stalwarts are,
from left to right: Maria Shields, Margie Speir, Melissa
Raeder,
Grace Rissetto, Karin
Tooze,
Jennifer Jayson, and Holly Herrington. “Every runner achieved
her goal set in her training and finished the race strong,” said
