Five individual athletes, one
coach, and the entire 1954 boys’ track and field team were
inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday night
in a ceremony in the Mary Ellen Henderson gymnasium. The
individual athletes included cross country runner Ted Yeary
(Class of 1968), basketball standouts Joan Clinton (1977)
and Nick Earman (1977) and tennis champs Jennifer Boozell
(1988) and Carlos Rodriguez (1989). Many of these athletes
were also standouts in other sports. Former athletic director
and coach Al Krueger was also inducted. Krueger’s tennis
teams won seven state championships during his 27-year
