NationalDefenseUniversity Is Looking For Adult Sponsors for Its Fellows This
Is a Chance to Foster Peace in the World
In
a world so torn apart by wars, misunderstandings, and terrorism,
do you wish that you knew how to contribute to fostering peace? As
citizens of the United States, we have all been affected by the changes
brought upon us by the 9/11 attacks. We recognize the importance
of working toward cultural and religious understanding, but many
of us don’t have the time or opportunity to take part in community
efforts. The NationalDefenseUniversity (NDU) in Washington, D.C.,
provides you a chance to foster understanding in the world. At NDU
senior foreign military officers and civilians are enrolled in a
10-month Master’s degree program dealing with strategies related
to combating international terrorism. The NDU needs volunteers to
sponsor these fellows. As sponsor for an International Counterterrorism
(ICT) Fellow, you will represent America to your Fellow and his family and you will
learn how others view America. (Above is a photo of the ICT Fellows with Mason grad Krysten Rose-McCully
at the FBI Headquarters.) Sponsorship participation is varied and
individual. All CT’s are housed conveniently in corporate apartments
in Arlington, VA, thus all that is required is an open mind and a
desire to welcome your Fellow into some of your weekend or day-to-day
activities. Some interesting outings might include sporting events
(even at the Little League
level), outlet shopping, movies, WoodleyPark Zoo, or barbecues in your backyard. If you are ready for a new and exciting
experience, don’t miss this unique opportunity. For more information contact
the ICTF Program Specialist Krysten Rose-McCully, a graduate of George Mason
