Math Teachers Weber, Block
Nominated for Agnes Meyer Honor

George Mason High School teachers Janet Weber and Joel Block were nominated on February 1 for the Washington Post’s Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher of the Year award along with fellow Falls Church City Public Schools educators Susan Johnson (a second grade teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School), Denise O’Neil (the speech and language pathologist at TJ), and Nick Werkman (a Special Education CIRT at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School).  Shown here, GMHS math teachers Weber and Block are elated to integrate a definite integral.   The winners of the prestigious award (one from each D.C. metropolitan school district) will be announced in March.
