GM Finishes 23-0 Season With
State Championship Victory

The Scholastic Bowl team wrapped up its 23-0 season with a win in the State Tournament, held Saturday at the College of William and Mary.  Seniors Matt Peppe, David Maher, Margaret Lipman and junior Peter Davis led the team to victory, defeating 2006 state champion Radford High School in the finals and avenging their second place finish last year.  This year marks the first undefeated season and the largest margin of victory in the state tournament that a GM Scholastic Bowl has ever achieved.  Here, the team accepts its trophy during the awards ceremony (Photo by Larry Lipman)  2-27-07
