Photographers Capture City’s
Past and Future in Contest

Seniors Jeremiah Upton, left, and Derek Blodgett pose proudly with their award-winning photographs that took top awards in the Falls Church City Art Calendar contest. Derek won first place for his photo of the old Dixie warehouse near Don Beyer Volvo. Jeremiah’s second place photo depicts the construction cranes that are building a new edifice on the site of the old duckpin bowling alley. Each won $200 of free framing from Art and Frame of Falls Church. The theme for this year’s contest was past, present, and future.  Their photos will appear in the 2007 Falls Church calendar.
