Two individual golfers, senior Paul Mene and junior Sean Follin, qualified for the regional tournament by finishing in the top 12 at the district tournament last Tuesday at Bowling Green Golf Course. Mene shot an 83 and Follin an 84, while Andy Pribolka had and 87, Derek Blodgett an 88, Mike Straub 90, and Drew Davies 94. The tournament was won by Joe Canosa of Madison County High School with a score of 74.

The varsity golf team finished fourth at the district tournament last Tuesday, but golfers Paul Mene and Sean Follin qualified for regionals.

Mason finished fourth as a team at districts. Clark County won the team competition and Strasburg came in second and those two teams will represent the Bull Run District at the Region B Tournament next Monday at Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market.

Coach Dan Wilkie has reason to be optimistic about the future of his team as he loses only one senior, Mene, from this promising group.
