The Mason team, consisting of juniors Margaret Lipman and David Maher and sophomore Peter Davis, stayed in a very competitive second place to Holton-Arms until the last round, when they could not keep up with the faster “buzz-ins” of their competitors and lost a significant number of points, finally ending with a score of 330 to Bullis’s 430 and Holton-Arm’s astounding 555.

Despite the discouraging loss on the show, however, the George Mason Scholastic Bowl team still has an undefeated 12 – 0 record in the Bull Run District.  The team will be competing at Districts at Clarke County on February 4^th, and hopefully will be moving on to Regionals (February 11th at Goochland) and possibly even States (February 25^th at William and Mary.)
