Nora Hemphill, a member of the George Mason Class of 2005 and a freshman at the University of Virginia, died yesterday morning following a courageous three-year fight against cancer. Nora’s classmates and teachers recall her as one of this school’s most dedicated students and outstanding human beings. Nora devoted much of her life to helping others.
