Varsity Boys’ Basketball 
Hundreds of red-clad fans in the Mason Madness section of the MEHMS gym cheered on their Mustangs in one of the best games in Mason’s history, only to be disappointed as Mason fell 62-61 in double overtime last night to Bull Run District arch rival Clarke County. The Mustangs have not beaten Clarke County since the 2001 season and the game had first-place implications in the district for both teams. “Now that we know that we can hang with them, we’ll just have to get them in the playoffs,” one frustrated fan was heard to say as he exited the stadium. 2/4/06 |
