In Memory of Abigail Burroughs  Five
all-star seniors from Mason, Stuart Gregg, Eva Berthold, Hayley Woods,
Alex Pender, and Pablo Calderon, pose in front of the star display they
set up as part of their volunteer work last Saturday at the Abigail
Alliance Gala in Crystal City. The volunteers also helped set up the
silent auction. The annual gala is held in memory of Mason graduate
Abigail Burroughs who died from cancer while a student at the
University of Virginia. Funds raised during the gala go to the Abigail
Alliance for Better Access to Experimental Drugs, an organization
founded and run by Abigail’s father Frank Burroughs. Senior Masonites
have volunteered at the gala each year of its existence. (Photo by
