4 Days Prior to Election George
Mason senior Caitlin Acosta, left, and junior Emily Sanders, right,
pose with democratic gubernatorial candidate Tim Kaine, center, during
a “meet and greet” campaign stop Friday afternoon at Stacy’s Coffee
Parlour on Broad Street. Four days before his showdown with republican
Jerry Kilgore on November 8, Kaine appeared poised with two recent
polls showing that he held a one to three percentage point lead. Kaine
gave a brief whistle stop speech, saying “If it (Virginia governance
and the economy) was once broken, and then fixed, don’t break it
again,” a variation on the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” slogan.
