Scholastic Bowl Team Wins Big;
Extends Record to 9 - 0 (full story)

The Mason Scholastic Bowl Team continued its unbeaten season last night, defeating three district rivals to extend their record to 9-0. In the team’s only home meet this season, the quiz bowlers started with a big 255-70 win over Manassas Park, followed by an even bigger blowout of Strasburg by a 280-60 margin. The evening’s final match proved the toughest, as a good Clarke County team actually took an early 40-point lead over the Mustangs, who proved their comeback ability with a solid 220-140 win. The team was once again led in scoring by juniors Matt Peppe and Margaret Lipman, with strong support from junior David Maher, sophomore Peter Davis, and senior Bjorn Westergard.
