The Holiday Season’s HOTTEST Gifts…
According to GM Students

iPod Video
By Stephen Finley

Electronics are the top type of gifts people will be receiving this holiday season.  One of the more well known of these gifts would have to be Apple’s iPod Video.  Although its appearance hasn’t changed much, it is slender and comes in two different variations; a white front and a black one.  Its looks aren’t the only thing that makes the new iPod a hot hit during the season; it also is enabled to show videos and movies.  The sleek iPod Video can play songs, project photos, and now play movies.  It, “changes the way you experience your music and more,” according to Apple, “the new iPod is music to your eyes.”  At a pricey, $299.99 at most retailers, the iPod Video might even be seemingly impossible to find.  From Best Buy to the Apple store in Tyson’s to even Books and Borders, the iPod Video can be bought.  If the iPod Video is on your gift list, grab it quick, it won’t be in stock for long.

Tiffany’s
By Dana Cazan

Momentarily after signing on to the Tiffany’s website the classic holiday quote “The most wonderful time of the year” appears. For those lucky few who receive the decadent jewelry, the quote could not be any more applicable.  Luxurious items on high demand this season range from the classic Elsa Peretti Bean, all the way to Tiffany diamond earrings. However, a girl’s desires remain dreams once her eyes glance over the price tag.

Xbox 360
By Daniel Watkins

Released by Microsoft just in time for the holidays, the new $400 Xbox 360 is aimed to impress. With updating graphics, new features, and a better online mode, the 360 is what most kids are asking for this holiday season. Currently, the qualities of games are not up to par, but that will improve with time. Call of Duty 2 and Condemned are the best games for the 360. There are some problems with the console though. If on for too long, the inside of the system melts and is rendered useless. Also, 1 out of every 30 systems shipped out on the launch date is faulty and fail to load games. Even with these problems, the Xbox 360 is a great technological advancement, and should be around for the next 5 to 6 years.

Victoria Secret
By: Dana Cazan

The weekly rendezvous to just any fashionable lingerie store just doesn’t seem to cut it for teenage girls residing in Falls Church City, VA.  Topping numerous holiday lists this year include items from the company’s PINK collection—garments designed especially to satisfy those who love vibrant colors and ultra-girly patterns. Also ranking high is the chain’s perfumes, claiming to “envelop” your body in the designated aroma.  Luckily, both the PINK and Beauty collections, that carry products for teenagers, are easily affordable.

Digital Cameras
By Daniel Watkins

This holiday season, the brand doesn’t matter.  The camera just has to take pictures!  New digital cameras make it easy to take photos quickly; most have auto-focus and flash. Hooking your camera up to your computer allows you to upload pictures to the Internet, send them to friends, or just keep them on your own computer to display. Ranging from the lower $100’s up to $2,000, there are many different choices available for perfect customization.
