eighth graders as well as other members of the Environmental
Club under the guidance of class sponsors Cay Wiant and Bryan
Harris began serious work yesterday on their three-day community
service project of making a rain garden to help control rainwater
runoff that ends up polluting the Chesapeake Bay. The garden
is being supported financially by a grant from the PTSA and the
School Board. Here, Alex Maher, class president Sam Atkeson,
Katrina Snyder, Zack Emmons, and Adam Gann are hard at work on
the garden next to the TLC. (Photo by Emilio Ramos)
