News updated 3/11/05	*Fundraising Continues* Snee Calls Tsunami Relief Efforts ‘One of Greatest Events in School History’ Wearing her Tsunami Relief Fund tee-shirt, senior Bridget Hatfield helps present a check for $34, 623. 63 to Ms. Carolyn Miles, Chief Operating Officer of the Save the Children foundation, which will use the money to help children still in desperate need in southern Asia where an earthquake and resulting tsunami killed nearly 280,000 people and left thousands of children without homes or schools. Over 100 combined parents, students, and staff volunteers raised the money through various fundraisers, main of which was the Tsunami Relief Project held on January 15, as well as the Battle on the Pike Faculty Basketball game against the staff of George Marshall High School.
