Jazz Ensembles Raise $2,400
For Tsunami Relief Project
The George Mason Middle and High School Jazz
Ensembles, along with The Potomac Jazz Orchestra, raised over $2,000
for the Tsunami Relief Project at the benefit concert held Monday
night. The jazz ensembles auctioned off tickets for the National
Symphony and gladly accepted donations throughout the evening. The jazz
concert was the first of many events planned by George Mason students
and faculty members that will directly contribute to the Tsunami Relief
Project. This Saturday the school plans an all-day series of events
including a white elephant sale, a silent auction, a crafts festival, a
battle of the bands, a reception, and a concert. All of the donations
made to the Tsunami Relief Project will be donated to the "Save the
Children" foundation. to support its direct relief efforts. Here,
