Collection to English Department

Senior Sam Ehsani (left), a member of the Bahai faith, presents English Department chairman Mr. Michael Hoover with the book “Poetry Speaks,” a collection of representative poems by 42 major poets. The gift includes three CD’s of the great poets reading their work. The volume includes Robert Frost, Carl Sandburg, Edna St. Vincent Millay, W.B. Yeats, T.S. Eliot, Langston Hughes, Walt Whitman, and Anne Sexton among many other notable poets. The gift is from the Baha’is of Falls Church in memory of Robert Hayden, U.S. Poet Laureate and former Falls Church resident. (Photo by Sara Sugrue)
