Latin I Team Takes
6th Place

| Despite arriving shorthanded,
the first-year Latin I team, consisting only of freshman Irene Morrison-Moncure
and junior Alex Douglas (above with Latin teacher Cathy Caridi), took sixth
place in the Ad Fontes Academy’s annual certamen at George Mason University
last Saturday. The certamen consisted of dozens of schools from the DC
area which fielded both Latin I and Latin II teams. Teams from as far away
as California and Windsor, VA, also attended. Mason’s two-man team competed
against four-man teams, yet still finished sixth out of nearly 20 teams.
