Masonites Bounce
Back
During Rebound
Week
(February 12, 2004)
Masonites have been trying to bounce
back from a week of strenuous exams during Rebound Week that is going on
now following the delays caused by long snow closings and late openings.

The week is jam packed
with sporting events, in fact, Mustang basketball, both boys and girls
and varsity and JV, won all four of its games Monday night, handling both
Madison and Word of Life high schools. Last night the Lady Mustangs toppled
the Rappahannock Rams 61-20. Tonight is Senior Night for boys’ basketball
as six players, Nate McFarland, Pete Hamill, Evan Hamme, Jack Lawlor, Lafayette
Greenfield and Matt Williams will be honored before the game against Strasburg.
Thursday night will be Senior Night for the girls, as Allison Farrow and
Becky Roa, are honored.
In yesterday’s annual pin dodge game,
the juniors beat the sophomores and the seniors stymied the hopes of the
freshmen.
Today after school, a line half as
long as the cafeteria itself, formed for the ice cream social as assistant
principal Mr. Guy and student government leaders dished out the frozen
delight, complete with all the toppings.

students thoroughly enjoyed the free
ice cream sundaes provided
by the SCA after
school today as part
of Rebound Week.

Students can dance to the techno
sound at Friday’s "The Underground" dance that begins at 7:30 and costs
$3.
The weekly celebration ends Saturday
Night as the wildly popular Mr. Mason competition begins at 7:30 in the
auditorium. Admission is $3.00. Competing for the prestigious title will
be freshman Sean Follin, sophomore Erik Dever, juniors Chad O’Hara and
Alex Nette. Senior competitors are Zack Barrett, Greg Corbino, Rahul Gupta,
Matt Meyer, and Richard Arndt.
