 It Begins 
Work Starts on Demolition
Prior to MS Construction 


Tuesday saw the beginning of the long-awaited work that will soon transform this campus's configuration as construction begins on the new middle school. Workers removed the lights from the tennis courts, which will soon be bulldozed. Earth movers leveled out the land behind the softball field to prepare the area for the new courts. Today, the construction company brought in a trailer from which to direct their affairs, taking over one of GM's basketball courts. Once construction begins in earnest, parking will be at a premium for both students and staff. The entire process will take about two years. (Photos by Stephen Twentyman)    3/25/04
