Saturday’s final win
did not come as easily to the Mustangs as they faced Buffalo Gap. Sedney,
Phelps and Bezaury all had solid wins, while Dorsey lost in two sets along
with LaCoste who lost in a close three sets, and Crosby fell just short
in a third set tie breaker.
Mason was tied 3-3 with Buffalo Gap,
and needed two of the three doubles lines to be victorious. Number two
doubles, Phelps and Dorsey, dominated their doubles match, with aggressive
net play and fast feet, claiming an important victory for the Mustangs.
Number one doubles, Sedney and LaCoste,
dominated the first set with strong serving and aggressive strokes, winning
the first set 6-0. Concentration was lost early in the second set, but
they came back and played with confidence and determination to finish off
the match in a tiebreak, 7-4, sealing Mason’s victory. |
