Following a busy Homecoming weekend and a tough loss to the AA Liberty Eagles Monday night, the Lady ‘Stangs were slightly fatigued.

But with their minds set on winning, the Mustangs had to rely on their intense defense led by senior guard Christina Sedney and spurts of scoring opportunities by freshmen point guard Maggie O’Toole and junior guard Amanda Harrington.

In the fourth quarter the Mustangs kept sending the Cougars to the foul line and watched as their lead dwindled to a mere four points.

The Mustangs sealed their win with a half-court play that resulted in junior Becky Roa getting two points. The Mustangs have set their goal to be 10-0 at the end of the district’s regular season.

The Lady Mustangs will take on the Strasburg Rams and the Brentsville Tigers next week.
