Video Game Review
‘Kingdom Hearts Has No Flaws’

By Steven Gould (March 21, 2003)

How many of you love to play Final Fantasy games? But what happens when your younger siblings are in the room and you’re not allowed to play violent games in front of them? And they keep complaining to mom, about wanting to watch their Disney movies? Well this game has got it all. "Kingdom Hearts" has the adventure and fighting that you crave and the hysterical, hyperactive Disney characters that your siblings want.

The adventure begins on the Destiny Islands, where Sora, Riku, and Kairi talk and dream of new places, new worlds beyond their own. Sora (the main character) is a 14-year-old boy who just wants to leave his world behind and go out on an adventure. His two best friends Riku and Kairi share the same vision, so they all build a raft so they can go out and find their adventure. They just don’ know that the adventure would find them.

One night a dark storm appears over the island. Sora is confronted with monsters he has only dreamed of, and is soon separated from his friends. Their world is soon devoured by the darkness, and the journey begins. Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy have also left their world in search of a "key" and its owner. The person they’re searching for just so happens to be Sora! To find Riku and Kairi, Sora joins Donald and Goofy and embarks on an epic journey that will change his life forever.

"Kingdom Hearts" has no flaws in it, and you’ll never want to stop playing. Haven’t you always wanted to get back at those evil Disney villains who you hated when you were little? Now’s your chance, to play the best game that has Final Fantasy and childhood friends all in one. I give this game a score of nine out of 10 because it could have been longer, 15 hours of playing this just isn’t enough.
