Place Sixth
In Rocket Competition

George Mason High School
placed sixth recently in the world's largest model rocket contest, sponsored
by the Aerospace Industries Association of Rocketry. Masonites Ellis Langford,
Keith Rothman, Lisa Collins, Ed Jong, and Kevin Zhou were selected out
of a pool of 600 competitors, out of which only 100 schools qualified.
The winners were presented with the challenge of designing, building, and
flying a model rocket, and received their awards from Mr. Applegate on
Thursday, June 12. |
