 Scholastic Bowl Team Wins State Championship

It's Academic and Scholastic Bowl sponsor Jamie Scharff (left) presents the State Championship banner to Principal Bob Snee. Scharff's Scholastic Bowl team won the state championship at the College of William and Mary last June, and the banner just arrived. The Mason Scholastic Bowl team went 20 and 2 in its competition last year, including their victories over the state's other top seven teams in the finals. This year's squad is off to a strong start in defending its championship, having already won its first 2 competitions (240-105 vs. Madison County and 220-90 vs Rappahannock).
