Rain, Mud Don't Dampen Runners' Spirits   (full story) 

In spite of the cold and rain, the George Mason cross country teams did well at the state championships last Saturday. Here Mason harriers fight the elements. The boys came in fourth and the girls sixth. This was the first time in school history that both boys' and girls' teams made it to states. (Photo by Bob Snee,11/22/02)
