A wise man named Edward
George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton once said, "a pen is mightier than a
sword." But who is to say that a gavel isn’t stronger?
In an effort to perk up his Pre-IB
government class, Mr. Pikrallidas caused the Supreme Court to come alive
in his classroom. He took it upon himself to dress as a justice and follow
Supreme Court procedures while teaching about the judicial branch of government.
According to him, "It’s very important
because it makes what might seem to be fake and sometimes abstract have
a real and human characteristic. It brings it to life and makes it more
accessible to students," said Pikrallidas (Photo by Andrea Genovese Soares) |
