Annual JV Show
This Thursday and Friday Features
Change in Format; Variety First, Bands Second By George Huff (Dec. 3, 2001) This Thursday and Friday, December the sixth and seventh, at 7:30 pm the Las Vegas themed JV show will be held in the George Mason auditorium. The JV show is an annual talent show at George Mason held to raise money for the junior prom. According to Frank Marino, the event’s coordinator, "There will be a difference in the program from years past as the acts will differ from Thursday to Friday night. Thursday night will feature mostly talent and vocalist acts, Friday will feature 20-minute sets from bands, so everyone should come out both nights." The GM faculty is planning a surprise number which has a curious tie-in with the school for Thursday’s more typical variety show. In addition, there are quite a few original numbers composed by students, a skit based on the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a number of dance pieces. Currently there are seven Mason bands scheduled for Friday’s performance. The cost for entry is $5 for adults
and $3 for students.
