After the third day of spirit week, the point total climbed to first place status. The sophomore class had a total of 600 points. The second place senior class trailed behind with a point total of 475. The third place freshmen had accumulated 450 points and the juniors 350.

However, it was the seniors who emerged victorious on Wednesday, Sci-fi Day. Fifty nine percent of seniors sported outfits that were out of this world. Fifty-six of the freshmen were dressed up, followed by the junior class with 49 percent and the sophomore class, with 39 percent.

Thursday is Disney Day, and Friday will be Red and White Day. The junior and senior classes are anxiously awaiting the crucial Powder Puff football game. As with the sophomore/freshman kickball match, the winner receives 100 points and the loser 50 points. The game will take place after school on Friday. Rumors are that both teams have been having secret practices in undisclosed locations.

This Tuesday and Wednesday, seniors voted to determine the homecoming king and queen. The royal couple will be announced during half time of the homecoming game against Clarke County. Nominees for the homecoming queen were Claire Montgomery, Afolake Ojumu, Beth Pyne, Jessica Szymanski and Kendra Webb. The nominees for the homecoming king were Matt Bond, Michael Burgos, Joey Cohe, Bobby Griffiths and Kyle McGehee.

Thursday morning, the underclass members of the Homecomiing Court were announced. The freshmen representatives are Sarah Wright and Chad O’Hara. Representing the sophomores are Elise Edwards and Matt Williams. The junior representatives are Emily Phelps and Matt Eddleman.
