This past weekend, George Mason Model United Nations members attended the final conference of the season at Thomas Jefferson High School. The club, which has attended numerous conferences this year, including one in Montreal, Canada, is already busy preparing for next year’s season. Sophomores Rahul Gupta and Kaitlin Bottock received awards for outstanding delegates at this year’s TECHMUN.

The club, which is continually looking for new members, will host the first conference of the 2002-2003 school year at the end of September. The conference utilizes every member of the club and many middle school students as well in order to provide a good warm up for the yearlong MUN season. If any student is interested in participating in the conference or joining the club, they are welcome to attend meetings on Tuesdays after school in Mrs. Chincheck’s room. Elections for club officers will be held on April 30, so experienced members are asked to attend, and as always new members are welcome to attend as well.
