On our way from Dresden to
Prague
we stopped for lunch in the Czech town Litomerce
This is the town square
After several
days in Prague we traveled to Munich and stopped along the way
in the Czech city Pilzen
This monument in the center of town is a memorial to the liberation
of Pilzen by the American army in WWII
The main synogogue survived and was restored
after the war
The building contains an exhibit of photos
as the city was liberated
The town square which once celebrated liberation
today is the scene of Octoberfest
