You know you've crossed into Serbia
when the signs are in the Cyrillic alphabet
As described in the sign, Belgrade is located at the confluence of 2 rivers
the Sava and the Danube

The ancient fortress is testament to the violent history of the region

Currently the only danger in this scenic region is to tourists walking too close to the edge.

Our ship is docked in the heart of Belgrade
A walk through town reveals an interesting sign
since we LIVE in a town called "Moneta" which I'm told means "money"
If a city has a military museum, Joe will want to visit it. We've done this together all over Europe.
This time I'm glad he has a friend to explore this with him instead of me
Lots of weapons, artifacts and maps - both ancient and modern
