Vienna (2014)
We arrived at noon just in time to hear the bells of St, Stephen's Cathedral
Next stop was lunch
A concert was in progress
Roman Ruins
Our apartment was right in the city center
It was very big
with very unusual artwork everywhere
Walking the Streets of Vienna
Vienna Parliament
Monument to the End of the Plague
A perfect souvenir for a Deacon - a stole
purchased in the shadow of St Stephens Cathedral
There was an organ concert after the evening Mass
St Stephens is the largest and most famous but there are many other beautiful chuches throughout the city

In Karlskirche you can see the ceiling frescos close up
Fortunately there's an elevator

The Belvedere Palace is now an Art Museum
From Belvedere you can see St. Stephens, the highest building in the city

The Memorial to the Red Army which liberated the city

It was a very hot day.
The fountains and many public parks were very pleasant

Most churches were open for visitors
But sometimes they were closed

Music is celebrated everywhere with monuments and concerts

Looks like Grandpa's lunch is bread and water

Dinner down the street from our apartment
A model of medieval Vienna

I'm standing in Mozart's doorway

Our apartment was in 3rd oldest building in the city.
It was once owned by Napoleon
This neighboring street is "Blood Alley"
the site of the massacre of the Knights Templar.

Down the street is the Mozart's house.
