As we walked single file through the great mine, I was 5th in line behind Steven and soon even his bright shirt dissolved into the darkness.

Steven used his phone to light his path
while I flashed my camera and used the photo to proceed.

The stone floor was uneven and often sloped.

Sometimes, there were stairs to climb.
Without the camera I would have unexpectedly tripped over them

Good thing I wear sturdy shoes

Spiral stairs...a good sign

We're heading to the surface for sure
