We walked along the river path
up to the Baroque Weltenburg Monastery, Germany's oldest,
founded in
the early 7th century by Abbot Eustasius
It also houses the oldest monastery brewery in the world. Here we
drank their traditional dark beer. |

brothers, a sculptor and a painter. |

Danube Gorge where the river is deepest and narrowest |
