On
the 2nd leg of our cruise
we returned to Pigeon Island with choices to make
We could swim in the ocean,
relax on the beach,
hike up to the fort on the hill (uh, NO!)
or
Take a Sailing Lesson (YES!, see below)

We
traveled to Rodney's Bay Marina |
We
boarded a 40 foot racing yacht where the captain assigned jobs
and gave us instructions |
Most of our crewmates were experienced sailors |
We
passed many beautiful houses on
our way out to sea from
the dock |
There's
our ship! |
Joe
got to control the lines for the jib sail |
A
young English cadet on the Wind Surf
was very much at home
at the wheel
This
was one of the best things we could have done |
Back
in the marina it was evident that
the island is serious about
taking and observing precautions
