the formation of this area
These
paleo-dunes were formed during the Pleistocene,
about 10,000 years
ago,when the sea level was 30
meters lower
than today. This created a beach with a
large amount of sand. As the
sea level rose during the
Holocene, the beach was eroded forming the
coastal cliff
