We planned our visit during the annual Tapati Rapa Nui festival Public transport was free during these 2 weeks but we chose to walk all of Hanga Roa and hire a local guide to visit other parts of the island
Our Hotel Gomero was a few blocks from the shore It is locally owned and decorated accordingly
