is our 3rd visit to Basel
Once again, we are standing
at the intersection where 3 countries meet
Switzerland, France & Germany
Today
it is raining!

Nevertheless,
we went into town to see whatever we may have missed on earlier

The
Church of St Elisabeth
built in 1857
as the first
Protestant Church in Basel

|
St
Elisabeth's is now used for
spiritual, cultural
and social activities
|
This
church is now the History Museum BUT
it is a Monday & museums are closed!
|
|
|
We
visited the tourist center to remember previous visits when
it wasn't raining
|
|
We
stopped at a carnival in progress

I climbed a hundred steps just to see what

A monument at the top of the hill

There is always a bakery to visit

|
Shops are prepared for Christmas

A very appropriate motto
on this building
describing how to enjoy a day
while ignoring
the weather
